Marking a departure from the close-up view of previous Peace Dollar designs, the new reverse by retired Senior Engraver Susan Taylor presents a full-body portrait of Lady Peace, seen standing on a shoreline. The allegorical figure is supported by maple leaves, while maple leaf-shaped rays break through the clouds above – a unique combination of images that, together, convey a rousing expression of hope for peace, now and always.

A different view. The new design pulls back to reveal a more complete portrait of Lady Peace, who appears as a left-facing bust on previous issues. Confident and always looking forward, Lady Peace is surrounded by deeply symbolic imagery that is intended to inspire and uplift.

A gorgeous mix of frostings. Lady Peace is classically engraved, frosted to perfection and resplendent in a cameo-like finish, which contrasts beautifully with the highly reflective, mirror-like field.
