The Chinese Gold Panda is the flagship gold bullion coin of the Chinese State and is popular internationally among savers and investors in gold.
Minted from 99.9% pure gold, the 30 gram Chinese gold panda coin is the largest weight in the Gold Panda coin range.
Each year the imagery of gold Panda coins changes and for 2026, the reverse of the gold Panda coin features a pair of Pandas in a serene and harmonious setting. The reverse face also displays the coin's weight and purity, '30g Au .999', as well as the coin's face value 500 Yuan.
The obverse of the 2026 gold Panda features a representation of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing encircled by the words "People's Republic of China" in Chinese and the year of the coin's issue, 2026.
Gold Panda coins are minted by Shenzhen Guobao Mint which is owned by China Gold Coin Corporation, which in turn is fully-owned by China’s central bank, the People’s Bank of China. This means that Chinese gold Panda coins are guaranteed and fully backed by the Chinese State.
