For Brandenburg, Sanssouci Palace was chosen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Potsdam. Built by Frederick the Great, King of Prussia, in the mid-18th century, it served as his summer palace and private retreat. Its name, "Sanssouci" (French for "without worries"), reflects its original purpose as a place of relaxation and philosophical contemplation.

National Side (Obverse of the commemorative): The design, by Jordi Truxa, showcases a detailed depiction of the main façade of Sanssouci Palace, viewed from its terraced vineyards.
