The Chinese Calendar series features a new animal each year. In 2027, the Goat takes center stage.

In Chinese culture, the Goat is one of the gentlest and most artistic signs of the zodiac. Those born under the sign of the Goat are sensitive and creative. They are known for their calm, kind nature and their strong sense of harmony.

In the center of the coin’s obverse is a goat passing through a ring engraved with traditional Chinese motifs, along with the ideogram for this sign. The year 2027 and the inscription “Year of the Goat” appear along the edges of the design.

On the reverse, all twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac are depicted on a folding screen surrounding a traditional temple door. A complete cycle of the Chinese zodiac begins in 2018 and lasts through 2029. Each of these twelve years therefore highlights an animal from this calendar. The face value is visible in the upper left corner, and the letters “RF” are located on the door.
